The best day of the entire year is approaching. Aquabear Legion’s annual Pancake Breakfast is Sunday, January 29th at ARTS/West in Athens, Ohio! Last year we decided it made sense to involve the unbelievable local food community here in the Athens area with our fundraiser to help support unbelievable local music and the best day of the year became even better. ALL WEEK we will be spotlighting the local food producers and businesses we are working with this year. See you all at the Aquabear Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, January 29th from 1:00pm-4:00pm at ARTS/West, 132 West State Street in Athens. The Aquabear is very excited to top all the pancakes this Sunday with some Sticky Pete’s Maple Syrup from right here in Athens County! Sticky Pete’s can be found everywhere from Casa Nueva to the Easton Farmers Market in Columbus and it is fantastic. We could not ask for anything better to top our pancakes with. Now, Sticky Pete’s doesn’t have a website but our Athens ex-pat friend Susan Hilvert was involved with a project called TerraStories that traveled around meeting female farmers and food producers and ran across Laura Berry and Sticky Pete’s on the cross-region journey. The provide the milk for our pancake mix, the half and half for the coffee, and their heavy whipping cream is made into homemade butter and whipped cream by Sherri. Also, Snowville always sends along extra milk for drinkin’ and this year we are really excited to have their new chocolate milk too. Snowville makes some amazing stuff and its available all around Ohio and even as far as Washington DC. It’s the beginning of a new year and that means… It’s Aquabear Legion Pancake Breakfast time! This year we host the best breakfast of the year at ARTS/West on Sunday, January 29th from 1pm-4pm. Last year’s event was so much fun and the food was great so we decided once again to go ALL LOCAL with the food, local food being used to support local music makes sense to us! This year will mark our SIXTH Pancake Breakfast. $5 will get you: • all-you-can-eat pancakes (made with Shagbark Mill spelt flour and Snowville milk) • Donkey Coffee • Snowville Chocolate Milk (while it lasts) • and special treats throughout the afternoon • Sticky Pete’s Maple Syrup and homemade butter and whipped cream from Snowville products (while it lasts) and for a bonus $1 upgrade donation (no limit, while supplies last) you can choose: • a Blockhead Donut (from Fluff Bakery) OR • a piece of delicious King Family Farms bacon Special thanks to ARTS/West, Snowville Creamery, Sticky Pete’s Maple Syrup, Donkey Coffee, Fluff Bakery & Catering, Shagbark Mill & Seed, King Family Farm, Athens Farmers Market, and everyone else who is helping out. Aquabear Pancake Breakfast is Sunday! All Local Food!

Come eat (all local) pancakes with us on Sunday, Jan. 30 at ARTS/West from 1pm-4pm!

Aquabear Legion will be holding its annual Pancake Breakfast at ARTS/West on Sunday, January 30th from 1pm-4pm. Aquabear is working with Snowville Creamery, Donkey Coffee, Shagbark Mill, Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery and a whole bunch more so that people can support local music while eating local food. ONLY 5 BUCKS! Bring friends, tell people, and help spread the word. ARTS/West is located at 132 W. State Street in Athens (up the hill from town at the fork in the road by the cemetary) and the breakfast takes place in the basement. The Aquabear Legion Pancake Breakfast will feature all you can eat pancakes (made with Shagbark Mill flour and Snowville Creamery milk), Jackie O’s fresh baked bread, and all you can drink Donkey Coffee for only $5! There will also be (King Family Farm) bacon upgrades available for a small donation. Aquabear Legion is holding a Pancake Breakfast in the basement of ARTS/West on Sunday, January 25th from 2pm-5pm. This is our big fundraiser for the Aquabear County Fair on March 5-7, 2009 and we want everyone to come out and support local music and art!
